A Study in Transition and Mystery

To me, a door is never just a barrier; it is a profound metaphor for life’s continuous cycle of endings and beginnings. I view every threshold as a silent communicator, a crossroad representing the choice between solitude and community, safety and the unknown.

I am fascinated by the stories etched into wood and iron. By exploring the duality of separation and connection, I invite others to look closer at these vessels of secrets. My goal is to capture the psychological weight of the threshold: the nostalgia of the past, the allure of the future, and the invitation to explore the narrative hiding just on the other side.

A Study Rooted in Resilience

My work is driven by a deep reverence for trees, viewing them not merely as plants, but as complex, restorative systems and profound symbols of existence. I am fascinated by the concept of the Tree of Life, exploring how these ancient sentinels bridge the terrestrial and the divine, rooting deep into the earth while striving toward the heavens.

Drawing on traditions of dendrolatry (veneration of trees) and the belief that nature holds ancient knowledge, I seek to capture the inherent stability trees offer. Ultimately, my focus is on the psychological clarity and deep sense of belonging found in the forest—a connection to an enduring entity that transcends the frantic pace of human life.
